I was wondering if someone can help me out with this. In my 67, the seat backs on the front buckets tilt forward freely without any release latch, etc. There doesn't appear to be any mechanism to lock it in place. Is this normal?

Also on the bottom of the seat back, someone shoved a bolt in there. When the seat is in the normal position, the bolt appears to keep the seat back upright by resting again the seat bottom. I assume this was done to to prevent the seatback from reclining back too far.

I'd really appreciate it if someone would be willing to post a few detailed pics of a standard seat so I can see what it's supposed to look like.

Thanks in advance.

Both items are normal for a 67. There is no safety lock to prevent the seat back from moving forward. The chrome bolt is also from the factory and its purpose is so you can adjust the seat back to your liking.
