Bump Steer Kit Problem

I got a slight problem... I have a Competition Engineering Bump steer kit. Went to put it on and in order for me to get this thing to work right i belive i need to cut down the end of the rack 1/4" atleast in in order for me to get it where it was when it was stock becuase it is bottoming out. Anyone had any kind of problem like this?

I guess i'm not picturing it. What is bottoming out? Do you have the stock rack?

I had the exact same issue with my Steeda bumpsteer kit. I just figured it was a quality control issue and I got a set that wasn't tapped far enough. I was lazy and didn't feel like returning it and waiting for a new one, so I just wacked off one of the threads on the inner tie rods.

Ok with my kit spun as short as i can get it. It is still longer than stock. Making my wheels look like they are turning away from each other. The threads inside the damn thing dont go all the way thru cuz its 2 diffrent sizes on each end...
