95GT original owner normally change my oil every 3000 miles (Synthetic).
Yesterday I notice the check oil light and I discovered I am about a
quart low. My last oil change was 9/21/04. In that time I drove less than
3000 miles. Do I have a problem on my hand?

I think Ford says that 1 quart every 900 miles is "acceptable." That, in my opinion, is not acceptable. Anything more than 1 quart per 3000 miles is not acceptable.

You do have a problem, albeit (probably) a very slight one. Does the car smoke at all?

Sounds like maybe I should not be so worried. Thing is it is the first time
I have had this happen. There is no blue smoke nor does the car smell. I will
check to see if I can find a leak.

That is a good sign that your car isn't smoking. Sounds like a leak to me.

These kinds of leaks can be hard to find. If the leak isn't obvious, then you might want to add some flourescent dye into the oil and try to find the leak that way. But typically oil leaks are easy to spot.

also, synthetics tend to burn a bit more than dino oils. the EFI 5.0's have low tension rings which does not help much.

i too would not sweat it too much.

good luck.

While looking for this potential leak, check on the lower manifold against the firewall. There is a PCV valve and screen there. I've seen these things pop out and vent oil down the back of the motor and onto the trans.
