Burnout at the track

How do you guys do a burnout before your run....do you use teh ebrake or just drop the clutch at high rpms

Are you on street tires? You don't need to burn out with those... just a "dry hop" to clean them off will work. I just drop the clutch from 3-4k and spin the tires for a second to clean 'em off.

And the E-Brake won't help you any if you're trying to do a burnout.

don't use the e-brake. it's connected to the back tires, it will wear that out in a hurry. just dump the clutch & let em spin if you want to heat them up really good get a line lock. but it's not going to do much good on street tires

howabout your launching technique...in my old car I would rev to about 3k and then not dump but let it out quick and then punch it...hardly any spin...but the mustang ahs twice the power...any launching tips?
