Well after many a long thread I've decided to go ahead and keep my mustang. I'm going to be ordering a mongoose kit this winter but should I just wait for their chip since I know it's tuned for their kit (but will they "add" my mods to their chip? Since i have the exhuast mods already) or should I just order a diablo predator that I can tweak?

I'm not sure which chip they give you and i can't reach their website to check right now... it's www.modularfordpowerhouse.com right? Seems down now...

The only thing I'm iffy about now is if I should order the kb 1.7 kit or the mongoose kit for the centri.... i've definitely always wanted a kb but i'm afraid of all that boost on demand killing my bottom end...

Tim will tune the chip for your car including any mods yuou already have on it. wait for it. boost is boost. the KB kit won't kill your engine.

Tim from modular ford powerhouse? I did talk to someone from there when I was debating on a supercharger last year but this winter i'm gonna go ahead and do it...

Basically though anymore i'm not even really concerned about which S/C I get... the KB kit is what i've always wanted but technically wouldn't all that instant boost put my engine in more danger than with a centri with the delayed boost?

I know that tune is everything, i know this... but when it comes down to it the 2v can only handle so much... and i am afraid the KB steps over the line where a centri is still in the safe zone...

I don't know for sure, i'm more or less asking.

But good stuff.

www.modularpowerhouse.com

Get the KB from Modular Powerhouse. Tim will send you an SCT chip tuned for your specific setup or he will send you a tune to flash your computer, whichever you prefer. Personally, I prefer a chip so I can have multiple tunes available. The instant boost from the KB will be OK as long as you have the MPH tune.

I don't see a kit on their page for a KB kit... anyone know how much this is? I'm guessing it's a kit that they either just started offering or just don't advertise on their webpage... but how much is this kit / what's included? Definitely sounds like a winner. I've been looking for a complete S/C kit but i shyed away last year because I didn't really want a centri... but i was too scared of the twin-screw to put it on my stock bottom end

Tim is the #1 KB distributor in the SE. I don't think KB allows their kits to be sold. I think they have to do the install. I may be wrong about that. Call Rhonda and get a quote on a 1.7 and a 2.2 KB. I just dumped my Novi 2000 for a 2.2 KB last month. There is no comparison.

hmmm i thought i've heard of people installing their own KB???? That'd definitely turn me away if I had to look at paying labor costs for an install on a kb...

MPH will not j/ sell u the KB, they will have to install it, but i believe that the gaurantee that they give is worth the extra $ for them to intall it

Don't tell me that. I really wanted that damn KB but they were a long way off from delivering when I bought.

There is no way the wife will allow me to get anouther power adder.
