Hey guys, I'm new here. I use to own a colorado, lifted about 10in with mudders on it. I sold that and found a good deal on a mustang gt around my area. I found one for 11.5k is a black on black mustang gt with 65k miles. He said it has the shaker 1000 system, leather, and 6 disc changer. I asked him if it was the premium, and he said he didn't know. What do you guys think? And premium and delux the only 2 packages that you could buy the GT in? What should I look for on the car when I go to buy? Anything else you want to tell me? How do I check the clutch to see if it is burnt? What are common problems with the 05?
Thanks guys in advanced!

Premium and Deluxe are the only two packages. I'm not a fan of the shaker 1,000 it kills trunk room but I hear it sounds very nice! When you "check the car out" will you have access to a lift? You'd want to check the ball joints, condition of struts, any rust, frame damage etc....

That price seems reasonable. I spec'd it out on kbb.com and it is 1k less than a "poor" body condition price. As Sparta said have it looked at first. There are TSB lists for the 05's you can look at on this site. I always figure you'll have to put 1.5-2k into repair/upkeep when buying used so take that into account if you negotiate with this seller. 60k is a mileage interval that the owners manual requires filter and fluid changes. Ask the seller what maintenance and warranty work has already been done and documentation is possible. 05's are not commonly nightmare cars but do be careful not to buy someone else's problem. Good luck and update us on what you do.
