ok.. im goin to get everything i need for the rest of my setup tomorrow.. one of those things is the cam.. i'm almost decided on the ford F cam but i just wanted to make one last post about it to be certain.. anyone have any major concerns or doubts on this cam, or think theres another cam that would be better, and please no post about how ford cams are outdated.. im not going with a custom grind so that is out of the question and i would like to stay under $200.. so if you have any specific cams that you think would out perform the F with my setup please let me know.. otherwise im going with the F tomorrow.. i will also be using 1.6 rockers.. thanks alot guys

If I was going for an alphabet cam on that setup, I would definatley get the B-303.. Is smog an issue here cause there are better cams that arent ford racing..

why the B? and if you werent going to go with an alphabet cam(which im not 100% on) what specific cam would you go with.. and yes smog is some what of an issuse.. i know the the F cam isnt smog legal but ive seen it pass many times before.. and i know the guy that does my inspections would let me slide as long as it wasnt to bad.. thanks for the reply

I have the B cam and like it, but the F cam should make more power. You could always get a custom cam setup up for your setup and smog, but custom grinds cam be expensive at times.

I had a B cam, and it should great and ran well, but there are so many other choices out there, and no offense to Ford, but the other companies with spilt cams tend to be better. I like the Trick Flow cams, and the Extreme Energy cams from Comp Cams. But they are pricey. My current setup makes way more low end torque than my last combo with the same heads, and a Cobra intake and B cam. But some of that could admittedly be a mismatch in parts too. Just my opinion tho.

The TFS stage 2 was another cam that i was looking at along with the F.. i kno that you have a completly different setup than mine but hows the driveability and the idle on that cam.. this will be in my daily driver so it needs to be streetable.. anyone else that has this cam please let me know how you like it.. thanks

Why not just save up another 2 weeks or so for an FTI cam? If that is impossible I would get the TFS 2 cam!

The drivability is beeter than what it was with my B cam quite frankly. And this setup is quite a bit more aggressive. If your a bit worried about drivabilty, maybe getting a stage 1 TF cam would be a better choice for you. I've had some pretty rough daily drivers, and all I have to say is thank god for my Focus. I'l never go back to driving a radical Stang on a daily basis.
