Hey, what's up everyone? I'm getting ready to buy a performance chip but I don't know what I need. All I really want is to fix my speed limited and get a couple more horses out of my ride. I have next to no knowledge about good companies or programs so if you people could help me out, I would appreciate it! Thanks a lot
Ron

One more thing, my buget is about $225 on the top end. Is that reasonable or sure I spend more?

You'll have to spend more than that for anything of decent quality.

The best around are FordChip or SCT. SCT's website is here http://www.superchipscustom.com/ , and they have dealers all over. I recommend Justin at http://www.velocitymustangperformance.com/ .

FrodChip is good, but their turnaround time is pretty slow. No real reason to go with them if you can get quicker turnaround from an SCT dealer. If you want to know about FordChip, head over to www.v6power.net and lok over there.

Both chips are in the neighborhood of $325-350. Frankly you won't get anything decent quality for less than that. The good news is that they're done on an individual basis, so you can get exactly what you want (in terms of speed limiter, shift points if you're auto, etc..).

I think Forchip is no more - website is down.

We do custom SCT chips...

I'd highly recommend Don or somebody around Missourri with SCT capabilities. Just make sure your car is squared away before taking it to a tuner.
