Hey guys!

Buying my first notch next week. I've had 5 Gts until now.

What do you guys think of the condition of this one? I'm a little concerned about the surface rust on the strut towers and general areas, also the passenger strut tower looks worked on? Maybe not? Towards the bottom right.
Undercarriage seems nice.

Also the pinch weld at the bottom seems funny.

Let me know what you think, car has 95 000 miles.

Thank you!

The pinch weld pic looks to me like it has had either floor or quarter/ door sil work done to it.
is the floor plug missing in that pic?
Can you pull up some of the carpet and see how the inside floor looks?
I'd have to put hands on it to better judge condition.
Starting to see a lot of 'trickery' and hidden issues with these fox cars like we did in the 80's with the 65-70 stangs.
People try'n to fix or hide other people's butchery and still make a buck.
Take the rear seat bottom out and inspect the floors.

Thxs ìm going and purchase the car Tuesday, I will definitely pull off the carpet a little to verify before I pay him.
You are right, 4 out of 5 coupes I went to see had camouflaged defects, and the owners think they have gold lol.

I am originally from Ontario, Canada but have lived in the States since 1995. Car looks fine to me. If the rockers show no repairs I think it is a decent car. I remember as a kid in the 70’s and 80’s when cars had several rust bubbles when just 4 years old.

Thank you! Ill check the rockers when I see the car, how would I tell if it was repaired? Should I pass a magnet on it? Thank u for your help

Put some high resolution images of a Fox rocker area on your phone. Your first post says you've had 5 GTs so you should be used to looking them already.

If you see any shoddy patchwork or mismatched paint or bondo... You know the drill.

If it's been repaired and it so damned good that you can find it, it's probably a pretty good repair. :O_o:

I'd press on with pride a that point.

I would also be very surprised if the car in the images above had rocker panel issues. You would see that kind of wear elsewhere in the car.

Will do! Thxs again for the help

Being from MA, I'd be jealous of that car. Looks to be in great shape.

I've been looking at Foxes for my BIL and they look soooooo horrible compared to that. That looks like it was never winter driven.

Thank u! I'll probably end up purchasing it, you are right I find the coupes harder to find rust free, I believe most of them were winter driven since it was the base model (cheaper) mustang option back then.
