Buying hood pins today...need help!

I am going to do myself a favor and get hood pins today. Lately my hood has been really hard to shut and I have to slam it hard down low to get it to shut, and I dont trust it staying down. Should I get the hood pins that actaully have the pins or should I get the locking ones that are flush with the hood? Thanx alot.

i say hood pins. are you talking about the mr. gasket locking set? it says right on the package that they aren't meant for safety, just to keep theives out. but hood pins either way

well, if thats the case then Ill get the PIN PINS, my firend has the locking ones and never had a problem, but Ill see what I can find.
