After hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars on waxes, polishes and polishers, I finally had enough and threw in the towel...got rid of my 02 black GT. I hope to never see another swirl mark or layer of dust film after 30 seconds driving right after a wash again.

In front of my favorite group of people I make the following pledges:

- I will never own a black car again, especially a used one where the previous owner must have washed the car with a steel wool wash mit!

- I will never own an automatic Mustang again, ever.

- I will never own another Mustang without leather.

I am finally in Mustang heaven, with my newly acquired, 2003, Silver, Mustang GT convertible, with Black leather, 5 speed and premium package.

Woo hoo!

LOL I know how you feel about the black...but I love the reflectivity and you can't really get it out of any other color...plus I love giving the car attention so I don't mind the weekly washing ritual.

Congrats on your new ride though.

It is so frustrating owning a dark colored car. In the winter is the snow, in the summer/spring is the damn pollen or dust. You can see all the damn scratches and swirl marks more and sometimes you wonder why bother cleaning this damn car on a weekly basis. I do love my True Blue when it is clean and shiny. That is why when I get an 05 and up Mustang Silver will be my color.
