I just purchased the c & l plenum and 75 mm throttle body. I have an 02 gt. I dont have anyone to change my chip, will i loose power if dont calibrate my chip? If any one has done this please tell me what gains or lose's i should expect. I have all the bolt ons dont to my car.

You shouldn't need to change your chip. You would only need to if you went to a bigger MAF meter. If you've got all the bolt ons I would go get a custom dyno tune, you'll pick up a good amount of power from it. If you live anywhere near Mooresville, NC you HAVE to go Modular Madness Motorsports. Don is a dyno tuning genius.

If you have nothin but basic bolt ons..the intake plenum and throttle body will only give you about 5 to 10hp ..different heads or adding boost is where you see the most gains from that upgrade. :spot:

you don't have to change anything after you put those on. just disconnect your batter, tap the brake a few times to clear any electricity out of the circuit, and wait 10 minutes or so. then reconnect the battery and fire it up.

Off topic, but Gruntman, where you at in NC?

On topic, you shouldnt need a tune unless you really have "all" the bolt ons. These being, full exhuast, bigger tb and new plenum, gears, pullies, ect... If you havent done a full exhuast or added a new tb/plenum combo, then you wont see much out of a tune. the only thing you need to worry about is that your c&l is calibrated to match your fuel injectors :nice:

i don't think so, your chip's settings are burned in, so all you are doing is basically ensuring no current flows through the chip for 10 minutes or so...when you re-attach the battery and start the car, power will once again flow through the chip, except the car will know be reading new information due to the increased airflow from the parts you added.

there is no need to reprogram anything...you dont need to worry about the fuel injectors unless your go with a different mass air flow sensor that is calibrated for larger injectors..

when you ordered your mass air meter, they should have asked you how you want it calibrated... for 19lb, 24lb, 32lb, ect... injectors. If you got a mass air meter that wasnt properly calibrated for your injectors then it will wreck havoc on your a/f and give you a horrible idle/run condition.

Salisbury. About 45 minutes north of Charlotte.
