My C@L System is gonna be here on May 17th. I know afew people who have it and are really happy with it. As soon as I get mine on, I'm gonna get my Mach re-dynoed, and see if I need to use my Predator to adjust the A/F ratio. The C@L can lean you out. In MM@FF, they had an article afew months back, and they dynoed a Mach that I think was bone stock and they gained 10 RWHP with the C@L on a Dynojet.

Info on C&L MAF w/ inlet tube and Predator Tuner...

I have the C & L kit and when running the Predator "Performance" tune I was pinging some at 3800 - 4200 rpms in third gear (just after the 2-3 shift). I have been running the stock tune (with the timing advanced) to prevent it but recently added 3.73 gears. Because it was only occuring in 3rd through that rpm range I thought it might have been due to the load under those particular circumstances with the MAF / Predator combination. Last night I re-loaded the performance tune and maxed the timing to test it out (hoping the gears have changed the load). No more pinging under WOT up through redline in 1 - 3 and up to 5k in 4th.

I don't know if my theory was proven or if it is just due to other variables beyond me, but it seems to be running well. Now I just need to get it dyno'd again.

I've heard it described as marbles falling into a iron bathtub.. My description would be more of a rattle kind of sound.

The one thing that is different with my Mach, from everyone else who istalls the performance tune with the Predator, theyall max out the timing with their performance tune. My Mach made max power with taking alot of timing OUT at 4K-7K, and 2K-4K. I'm curious what adjustments will have to be made when the C@L is installed.

After putting my C&L in I pegged the timing on the Predator but left the fuel where it was. I figured that the bigger mass air is going to start feeding extra fuel automatically b/c of the extra air. Seemed to work so far...

C&L=
I've got an 85mm and an 80mm I use as paper weights - they are more trouble than they are worth. Get a good tune, you don't need this expensive aluminum tube (cheap, porous aluminum at that...hell, at least they could have made it out of billet!)
Ford put a lot into the design of their MAF and C&L decided simply that bigger must be better. All it does is lean the motor out, unreliably and unpredictably.
