What do you guys think about this ? I've been thinking aobut getting one. Or should I just go with cold air intake from BBK or something?
I've been told that performance gain from normal cold air kit is somewhat questionable(althought, I've been hearing FIPK from K&N will give you some gain), and since I have K&N Filter already, C&L inlet pipe look pretty decet choice. Especially, since I am getting intake elbow soon enough, it'll look killer too.
Whattcha guyz think?

yeah, get the inlet pipe. Doesn't absorb much heat either. I did a ghetto test on it already..

I like my inlet pipe too. It looks nice and I noticed a SOTP improvement. More importantly, I dropped 1/10 of a second in my 0-60 mph time.

Here is a photo of my engine bay for comparison. I have the Steeda CAI. I pulled my C&L MAF beacusing of lean issues and replaced with the Steeda which came with an inlet pipe and it all fit nice. So, I am selling the C&L stuff.

I had the pipe with MAF sensor, but it kept causing my idle to go to low and stall sometimes so I sold it. But it did look good unfder the hood and I had a noticable difference in the pedal, I just didnt like the idle.

are the C&L inlet pipe and intake SMOG legal? I want to get the inlet pipe, but am afraid I will fail the visual inspection here in CA. That is why I am leaning toward the K&N FIPK....

just get the inlet pipe and when you're getting your inspection put the stocker back on. unless you want to be lazy

Yeah, I understand that. I am just wondering if there is a difference between the C&L piece and the K&N FIPK.....

well, the C&L pipe being 100mm and made out of cast aluminum and FIPK being plastic and 88mm. Both don't absorb much heat so either way is a good way to go.
