C&L Plenum, worth it?

I saw a article showing that the C&L wasn't as good as the Accufab ..
Accufab is $229 tho!
Both had a 70mm TB and the stang was STOCK with a Paper filter!
the C&L combo pulled 254 RWHP
the Accufab combo pulled 264 RWHP
as soon as I get Home I can post the link to the compairsion unless someone here has it..

that still sounds a bit fishy. I want one but I don't expect gains like that. I stock I have 232hp... going up to 250+ with only a plenum and tb sounds like bs. From what I understand 232 bone stock is on the upper end of what you see before mods. thats over a 20hp boost from plenum and tb, BS.

I just installed the C&L plenum and 75mm BBK on my 2000 gt. You can feel
a difference when you get up past 3000rpm's. I am going to have the car
dynoed and tuned shortly. I'll let you know what my gains are from before
the install. Before install 231hp, 262 lb/ft. Not bad for a slushbox! Thanx
for the info on the Transgo shift kit.

it is probably the test over at the modular depot. I posted the link in the other plenum threads. he has some mods. he has full exhaust and pullies.

7-10hp can be obtained by plemum tb swap. it has been done over and over. yes it is is worth it for our cars. most poeple spend 150-200 on some crappy cai that gets 0-2hp.

I plan on cams so for me it is a no brainer. to me this is a must do. more so that pullies, cai, crap like that. this will at least help you with other mods down the road.

so short story long this is no "ripoff" it is as proven as anything else out there.

Heres what I was shown
I can't find the infothat went with it but what it dose show is the
256.09 "Stock" vs the 264.61 "Accufab"
The info said if I remember was stock 4.6 2004 Mustang with paper filter and
BBK X-pipe "Ya I was wrong about BONE stock but it's good info"
Hope this helps
Dyno
:bs: Maybe
:hail2: True I can Only HOPE!!

yeah that was the modular depot comarison. the stock means "stock" plenum and tb. not the car.
Still there was a 9.6 HPdiffrence between the Accufab and the C&L
So that show follow threw on just about most cars?
the thing I'm getting at is the Accufab is better Even if it's 2Hp more on a stock engine it (A) looks better (B) has more HP then the C&L combo
:notnice: (C) it costs more...

I just bought the Accufab Plenum and a Mac 70mm TB.
337 out the door.

I figured I spent the money on a T/A and pullies for about the same results as this seems to add, from all the research I've done.

If I can get another tenth out of it I will be happy.

Time will tell in the spring I will find out if I wasted my money.
