on my car now (which i haven't touched the body of it yet) the c pillar on the pass. side is wavy and has two large bumps in it. it appears the piece painted black is a separate piece. so i bought a pair of new ones off ebay, but they are 1 piece joined...were they redesigned?

The man is correct. Just be careful when re-installing. The correct way is to remove the trim piece that runs on top of the car above the doors as well. You can try to stuff it in but you will bunch the foam pad and then the top piece will not sit flat.

ill have to grab a pic of the ones installed on my car now (im assuming from factory) because they are definitely two pieces so they must have been cut or something?? the rubber trim at the bottom of the window stops just before the black part starts

also be very careful not to over tighten them, or it will show, just snug the bolts of you will have the stud making an ugly spot on the outside, also id recomend taking the top trim off and the c-pillair and it interlock, ya it might look as if it is 2 pieces but its on, if you need a pic of one off the car ive got an extra laying around i can shoot you over a pic of how i painted it, my car is black and saleen did a horrible job when they painted it so ive done 90% of the body work over, i cant stress not to tighten those bolts too much, i can show you some crarnage of over tightening

the ones on the car (which i'd assume are stock) have either been modified and cut into two pieces or they were a different design i guess because they are two pieces for sure. the ones i bought to replace this gem of a passenger side c pillar are the last picture shown and are definitely 1 piece that id agree with. any ideas?

c-pilar

hey man hows it going, i see what your saying about how it looks like the pilar is 2 piece's, but the way they were make is the plactic(now flat black)piece was molded into the fiber glass to make it 1 piece, take a look at the a pic's ill post up, if you look real close under where the numbers are written youll see where they 2 piece's were molded together to make 1 piece, the ones you bought just look like there a better qualtiy then the orignals
heres some pics

if you look real close at pic 3 you see some number look below them and you can see where they molded them it, also i noticed did your c-pilars not have weatherstriping on the inside? it should have a small piece of waetherstriping from the c-pilar to the window, if you dont have it its easy to make, when the cars came to saleen they just cut the weatherstriping into small pieces, the gt came with weatherstriping throught the whole window, saleen just cut it down a bit
