C springs and Caster/Camber 99+GT

I was under the impression that you could get an alignment after installing C springs (without caster/camber plates). I have read that people had success getting the alignment, and since the drop was not dramatic, without installing the plates.

Well, I installed the FRPP "C" springs (with isolators) and there is not enough adjustment to get a proper alignment. Anyone else have this problem? Are there any cost-effective caster/camber plates out there? What about toe? Am I going to run into that problem too???

you shouldn't be running into any toe in problems just negative camber. I have c-springs and didn't need alignment or c/c plates. got at least 1.5 drop in the front. People been having different drops with their c-springs. Fortunately i was satisfied with the drop i got. If you need c/c plates check out the ones on partshopper. J&M for around $150. I don't think you need them though.

If the shop cannot get it properly alligned without c/c plates, well, I think you know the answer...you'll need 'em. Most people I've heard can get their Stang aligned 'close enough' after installing C's, but not everybody. C/C plates is a minimal investment to save your front tires and get it aligned perfectly.

I agree, close enough is not good enough. Tires cost a bundle and there is nothing like a good alignment. I have had front tires that lasted forever with a good alignment...

I had C/C installed on my 98GT, the shop was not able to aligned the car correctly. I should have done it when I installed the C springs.
