C4 driveshaft length?

I have a driveshaft from a 4spd, and then I shortened it to fit the T5.

I've been reading up, and it sounds like driveshafts of the 4spd and the C4 are different lengths.. can someone tell me what the length of each one is?

Also, are there aftermarket driveshafts that will fit for a C4 without modification?

I did some searching but it's mostly for 5spd swaps from what I found.

I,ve been told that the 4speed shaft is longer than C4. Not 100% sure on that. A 4speed shaft is about 45 3/4 inchs measured from u-joint center to u-joint center. Don't know of any aftermarket shafts, but i'm sure salvaged driveshafts for II's are dirtcheap. If your going back to a C4, find a pony stock dirttrack racer. Most of those guys use the 4speeds and ditch to C4 parts. Probably could pick one up for nothing.
