I have a 89 LX Mustang with a C4 Tranny in it, The original pan was a old POS so i went and bought a TCI Pan with a drain plug. I drained out the fluid of the pan and ordered 7 qts of Red Line Racing ATF type F...this was the response I got from dynamic transmissions to use in it...but I think the transmission has Dexron III in it or Mercon currently...What do I do in my situation? Do I mix the redline stuff with whats currently in there or do I learn how to flush the entire system out?
If i should flush the entire system out, how do I do this? and how many qts will be needed?
