I am looking in to getting a better CAI. The one that came on my car is a pos. It is from the MAS down chrome goes in to the fender and down at a 90 degree angle. So i am looking to get one that looks nice (chorme or something cool looking) and goes up to the throttle botty. I see that BBK makes some but they are like 250 bucks. Any ideas? What woudl you guys get? This 90 degree bend thing is bugging the piss outta me. TIA

The BBK has the same 90 degree bend that you are talking about, it just also replaces the upper part (MAF --> TB) as well.

Most people seem to prefer the densecharger, their site is currently down at the moment.

Secondly, if you are tired of the 90 degree bend, I would try either the Steeda CAI or the Mac CAI. The Mac one looks pretty good.

Both come with a heat shield and straighter inlet path than what you are using.

I had the BBK one on my car and it made it run rich and caused some other minor issues.

Ok sounds good. Any other thoughts on the MAC CAI? I like the bbk cause it connects the TB to the MAS with a nice finish.

The one i had before had 2 90 degree turns. one from the mas to the fender then from the fender down. I know everybody and there brother fights about which is better to have it in the fender or not to. I like the design of the BBK what other problems did you see?

The one you might be talking about that is on your car is the Densecharger, only not the full kit, just after MAF. Or a homemade one (I tried that and was STUPID )

The Densecharger IMO are the best out there right now. It is made from high temp plastic so it doesnt disperse heat which is the last thing you want for your engine.

I have the BBK fenderwell mount ($150) and yeah its nice just not as cool of air as the densecharger. I did the fenderwell mount because there is a lot more cool air from there than under the hood, even with a heat sheild. Its a pain to clean the air filter but you get better air to the engine.

The only thing I have heard about densecharger is its kinda "cheap-like" since it is plastic, but you get better air.

Dont know much about MAC; I guess that one would be ok. They all are pretty much the same.

Sounds good. I would like to get a BBK (both parts from the MAS to the fender and MAS to the TB) Any problems with these? Hear any bad things? Yea the guy that had the car before me put a bunch of cheep parts on my car (Glass packs and a CAI that looks like it was bought off some guy who makes them on e-bay) Any place to get the BBK system for under 250?

I got mine from Texas Mustang. www.texasmustang.com
it was only $179.95. It's a bit of a PITA if you install with no help with the filter.

Stay away from chrome plated CAI systems. They are worthless!
