I just bought the Accufab throttle body and plenum and now I want to upgrade to a CAI.Im looking at the Mac Straight Shot.I have 2 choices,I can it get without the 80mm MAS for 150.00 or I can get it with the the 80mm MAS for 250.00.Is it worth the extra 100.00 for the MAS?Will the extra flow cause any problems?Im looking at this kit because I have a friend who bought the fenderwell kit and it was a PITA to install.

Thanks!!!

The MAC straight shot is for looks only.
I wouldn't expect any power from it.

Every MAF we've tested on any configuration that isn't actuall pegging the stock meter (around 400hp) LOSES power, about 5hp usually.

Recommendations: Stock with the stock MAF and avoid MAC parts like the plague. Some get by fine with them, but I can almost make a living replacing MAC parts with problems with higher quality parts on our customer's cars.

Go with a full-length plastic CAI with the filter mounted in the fender, like the Tuneable Induction. It looks nice, was easy to install, and seemed to increase HP/torque (at least as registered by my butt dyno).

If I'm not mistaken, Densecharger is now Tuneable Induction.

Like stangpro said go with a nice plastic CAI, I have the densecharger and I love it. I also agree with him about the MAF, its not worth the extra money.

The straight shot I had made my car detonate even with 93 octane. Got the tunable induction now and love it. Get it!

shoot a line to stangpro, he sells them as well, and my money is on him being able to beat the flat rate from www.demolet.com. just something to think about.

I've read the 90 deg. bend going into the fender will give bad readings to the MAF. I just use the densecharger MAF to TB tube, K&N filter and no rubber silencer.
