Ok guys I'm asking this question for a friend. He has a 2004 GT and he wants to buy that BBK cold air intake and the shop has one for a 2003 GT. Now I don't know tons about the 4.6 but BBK had 1 setup listed for 96-02 and nothing for 03 or 04.

My question is, is this the right kit? I know this thing should go right in without trouble but he is still worried about it. I say the intake tubing was unchanged from 96-04 for the SOHC ones, can anyone confirm this?

Simple answer, CALL BBK and ask them.

They are the only one that knows the TRUE answer !

Tell your friend not to waste his $ on any CAI and just put it toward a K&N. Unless he just wants something to look cool under the hood, more air is a better investment than cold air unless your turbo'd or SC'd.

Buy a UPR CAI. IT's the same as the BBK, but cheaper. Don't know about fitiment differences, sorry.

2003GT = 2004GT they are functionally identical, the '02 I'm not so sure about, and the '01 has a couple differences I know for sure.

I agree, get the K&N FIPK, it's the best bang for those types of intakes.
