Hey guys got another question for ya, well it seems my 03 gt is in need of some new calipers, i replaced the rotors and pads last year with slotted and cross drilled along with some EBC green stuff brake pads, if you dont mind cleaning your wheels every 3 days i highly recommend, little squeaky but not bad. Anyway i left my car sitting for a month or so while i was tooling around in the trans am. When i brought it back out i noticed the passenger side caliper was smelling like brake and was sticking a little bit.. so i was looking at the bullitt calipers to replace the ones i have now.. is that really and "upgrade" or doesnt it really matter??

Thanks as usual guys!!

the bullitt caliper upgrade is the same as doing a cobra swap.. you need the 13" rotors as well when you do the swap and its worth EVERY PENNY!!!

i did mine a few months ago and love it, i used HAWK HPS pads w/ black 03 cobra calipers, and drilled/slotted brembo rotors w/ goodridge lines and in the end i think it cost me something like 470 to get all the parts that i wanted... including shipping. after you do your break-in you will be AMAZED at the increase in braking power...
all but teh hawk pads

just after breakin

Or you can get a refurbished caliper at AutoZone for cheap. They even come powdercoated in various colors.

if ur strapped for cash id take K.T.'s advice, otherwise id upgrade to the bullitt/cobra/mach brake system as a good investment...but if ur gunna be tinkering with another car whats the sense of upgrading to have the same thing happen? ull just be urself

ill be doing the upgrade when i have 400 bucks i can put towards a mod for my car. ive seen a handful of people do it and noone has complained about it yet
