Calipers

Can most aftermarket calipers hook up with no problem to stock brake lines? I saw this on ebay and im wondering if its possible anyone tried yet?

Since those are FORD parts you will ned FORD lines. When I did this upgrage to my Capri I got 84-85 SVO lines and it worked fine.

Looking for something that wouldnt be as much trouble or break the bank doing.

See http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net/ for brake upgrades that won't kill your wallet.

The 73 MM calipers came on several different Fords. You can get them locally for much less money and not pay shipping. Ask for calipers from a 91 Lincoln Mark 7. They are about $20-$25 each, with no shipping charges. You will also need to upgrade your master cylinder to get the calipers to work correctly. Dang they want a core back... maybe i can fool them by giving them my old brake calipers hehe...

That's what I did. To the rebuilders, a core is a core. The parts guy looked in the box to make sure it was a brake caliper and not a bunch of rocks in a bag and was happy.

the flakes behind the AZ parts deks dont know but the NAPA clerks have a bit more between the ears!

If you go to Autozone, you can buy the same calipers for $15 each.

Then give em your old ones as cores
