cam choices for a 2000 gt

what cam choices are there for a 2000 gt? how much lift can i use without haveing clearance issues? and where is the best place to buy them? also can i buy aftermaerket rockers and lifters?

my buddy broke a rocker and scarred his cam so he is gonna just upgrade!

I have the Comp Cams XE270AH cams. They are 234/238 @.050 and .550"/.550" lift. No issues with valve clearance. Right now, probably THE THREE sets of cams to go with are VT Stage I, VT Stage II, and the Comp XE270AHs.

The only thing I would check out is that I noticed you are AOD and I think you would be safe with your 2800-stall speed with the VT Stage I's, but I'm not sure if that would be high enough for the Stage IIs or the Comps.

Oh, and there is a source out east (I think a shop in PA) for after market rockers and lifters but as I remember you could buy a REALLY nice set of ported heads for the price they wanted for those parts and personally, I'd rather have the ported heads

I wouldn't so much be worried that your friend broke a rocker. I'd be more worried why he broke a rocker. Is it something that once he puts another one in its going to break again?
