Is it a stock shortblock? Which Edelbrock head is it? Valve size?

The universal answer is going to be "always check piston to valve clearance when changing cams". With a stock shortblock, I would guess there may be problems on the exhaust side.

I think it will be tight, you have to clay it up..

Pay close attention to the outside of the eyebrows/valve reliefs that is where it will hit first. Measure your clearances at that point, you want .080" int, .100 exh minimum to be safe, you can can run tighter but if the springs are not up to par and it floats you'll be in trouble.

Your heads have single springs right? Will they take that cam... have you checked the installed height and presssures on them?

Decided against the Wolverine?

no i didn't decide against it im going with a whole new set up and i dont think the wolverine is going to be able to handle the hp's i wanna make. Im going to be running around 12-14 psi and and switching to the tfs r intake. I know a kid who has the 284hr blower on a 306 with pro topline heads with 2.02 1.60 valves and puts out 508. my valves are only 1.90 1.60 so im thinking with the cam and a new set up springs. It should fit.

let me know how that goes because if i dont have to buy another cam than im not goin to. That cam is the same specs as mine correct? because if that cam can perform well ill keep that one. But just a question compared to that 284hr blower cam what would you say is gonna make more power?
