When you install a 93 roller cam into a 88 Turbo coupe motor do you have to change the cam timing(do i need to buy an adjustible cam gear)?
This is for a 88 turbo coupe motor being swapped into a 93 stang.

You don't "have" to change the timing, but most people retard the cam 4 degrees for better top-end power. If you just run it straight up, you'll have lots of low end but not as much top end power.

Don't forget Esslinger.

I bought my adjustable sprocket from Esslinger, it's a few bucks more than Racer Walsh, but it's purdy!

is it easy to adjust the sprocket?? does it require you to remove the top part of the timing belt from the sprocket?? or can you just turn it with the belt still on it?

Yes it's easy to adjust. You gotta cut out the top of your timing cover to access it, but other than that, that's it. When you adjust it you can just turn the cam bolt and then retighten the bolts around the sprocket.
