cam timing

i just bought a trick flow stage 1 cam... should i just set the cam timing straigt up?

Just about any cam you buy already comes with a few degrees of advance already ground into them & do not need to be degreed, so yes straight up should be fine though I'm not positive about that cam but if you have a degree kit I would check it, if not you should be fine straight up..

I'd play with it a little before deciding. I would set it at stock first and then advance it slightly. Usually advancing the timing will free up extra power. I set mine at 14-16 degrees BTDC.
