camaro nut needing help with brothers weak 94 cobra

my brother has started sort of a mustang collection and his latest addition a 94 cobra is weak! doesnt bog or mis, seems to be running fine. But I embarassed him with my wore out Z71 pup. May be just im used to all that chevy power. But its sick. His older 5.0s run alot better. This thing is a load turd with fangs. Any suggestions? Besides trading for a Camaro.

If theres nothing abnormal that you can see, hear, or feel, then my first guess would be timing. Bust out the ol' timing light and see whats up. Somethmes a dumbass can set timing to 10deg ATDC instead of 10 deg. BTDC. Your gonna want to turn the dist. clockwise to advance timing. Also, when you check timing, if its 10deg. to the left of the 0 then its way retarded. If its reading at 10 deg. to the right of the 0 then the timing is not your problem. So, start with that and see where it goes. If thats not it then were gonna need more info than, "Its just slow". Good luck and hopefully thats your problem cuz its an easy fix. Just let us know. BTW, those cobras are sweet cars. I wish my car was a cobra.
