I forgot to mention one more factor you may or may not care about...the Mustang uses regular unleaded gas and still gets 300 hp. That's pretty amazing when you think about it. Although I loved the performance my LT1 and LT4 Corvettes had and the LS1 Camaro SS had, they all used premium fuel. I like not having to pay the extra 20 cents per gallon when I fill my Mustang, especially since I still have plenty of performance out of unleaded.

Sadly this makes no odds here in the UK as we only have two levels of petrol/gas.

-Regular Unleader 95 RON - about equiverlent to US 91 octane

-Superunleader - 97-99 RON - about equal to US 93 octane

There is no 87 octane equiverlent.

Not too mention the rip off prices we have to pay.

Went past a filling station this morning

Unleaded = £1.02 per litre
Diesel = $1.06 per liter

However, you also have to take into account that most auto Z28s came with the lazy 2.73 rear end and the Stang came with 3.xx and even the autos and later manuals came with 3.xx gears. You had to buy a manual Z28 to get the 3.xx rear end.

3.23's were optional.

Before you decide, see if you can arrange to ride in or drive a Terminator with a 2.80 pulley on it........ a good 3'rd gear pull will go a long way toward knowing what to do

PS: It worked for me
