You need to relax. You got three threads open with the same question:

The cams would have to be pretty far off to cause a driveablity problem like you are describing. I think you just need a good tune from someone who knows what they are doing, and a grain of salt to realize that aftermarket cams don't idle like stock....

Normally, the cams will be anywhere from 0 to 5-6* off before degreeing them. A full tooth, which is something like 15-20 degrees would mainly give you poor performance.

hey guys ur right i do need to relax and i tried to find a way to erase the other posts but the reason there is so many is because my tuner keeps telling all these different things are wrong with my car so im just frustrated and confused just want the thing to run right ... and please dont take this the wrong way but im not a total idiot i know the difference between a cam shake and a car thats missing .... i have had a cam in all my fox bodys and never had this issue ... this is my first mod motor and im assuming thats why ..... also i did find out if the cams are not degreed even if there only 5-6 degrees off the banks will fight against eachother and thats what causes the idle issue and fuel trims to be off at least this is what i read all night on the net ... and also if there not degreed u dont get the full potential of ur cams ... please except my apology for all the threads and if u have any opinions that are different or any suggestions please let me know...

thanks

ps if u know how to erase old threads please tell me

you are correct about the banks fighting each other if they are out enough. what do your fuel trims look like at idle and rev. holding at 3k? you should always try to degree any cam you install, but it doesnt usually come that important untill you reach stage 2's. i dont know your tuner so it's hard to say he doesn't know what he is doing, and he has the car there, so he is already one up on me there. why dont you just have him degree the cams and be done with it? it seems you have already convinced yourself this is the problem. you may have a vac. leak or something similar and just a simple but who knows. it's just hard to internet diagnose a car ya know. good luck.

Yeah I'm guessing they are pretty off I'm No tuner but even when I use my x3 the trims are off don't remember the sft numbers but the long fuel trims at idle was like 780 on one bank and 830 on the other Ans when I hold it at around 3k it stays about 30 different. ... what u think

Just a general shop that's pretty well known for being good but I'm finding out I don't think they do a lot of performance stuff

Yes we live in Tulsa there is only 2 tuners that ppl trust and he is one . I have seen his work he has built and tuned some sick stangs. ... even with the issues I'm having he has gotten my car where it is actually driving well now except the idle and the fuel tables being off. .. he said he Can give me a set of adjustable cam gears and degree them for 350 ... what u think

that's a pretty good deal considering the labor involved. i would jump on that. especially if he knows what he is doing. they should be degreed anyway and it will at the very least give you piece of mind or hopefully fix the issue. it just sucks they didnt do it at the time of install. maybe go back and see if they will help you out in any way. long shot but maybe
