I am looking at a used camshaft #941723 stamped on the end. the owner says it is an E303 but I want to be sure. does anybody for sure exactly what this is. there is no color mark by the distributor gear that I can see.

Every E303 I've seen has.....you guessed it... E303 stamped on the end and I think a green or red mark by the distributor gear.. Only way to know is to measure the lobe lift but I will bet it's the stock cam. You are not the first guy someone tried to pull this on.
