Yes. Just buy the Cobra or Mach 1. The swap is laborous and expensive. You can also build up your 2v to flow very well, there is some people on this board with Ported P.I. Cylinder heads that have amazing results with a nice cam. my 2cents.

By the time you purchase the heads/cams, intake, accessories, wire it correctly and tune it you will have been able to buy a new set of Trick Flow 2v heads and cams... I would almost put money on that.

If you really want to swap, you are better off buying a complete 4v engine, as the 4v heads will physically mate on a 2v block but you must modify the 2v bottom end in certain aspects before they will work.

When its all said and done, you still will not be able to run alot of boost on the engine because the 4.6 bottom end is only good for 400-450 rwhp depending on condition of the engine and tune. That is EASILY acheivable with a stock 2v with bolt ons and a blower, even easier to acheive with blower cams in a 2v.

As everyone else said you are better off either buying a 4v car, buying a 4v complete engine and doing the swap or putting the money into the 2v.

A stock-headed, stock-internal 2V with an intercooled KB at 9PSI will give you over 400WHP at a fraction of the cost of a 4V swap plus supercharger upgrade. How much power are you (OPer) looking for?

I don't know if any of the above guys have ever even tried to swap to a 4v setup but I know I have. It cost me just over $1000 for heads, cover, intake and exhaust. Installing 4v heads on a 2v shortblock is no different then installing 2v heads.

But like stated above it is smarter to just build up the 2v if you plan to boost it. If you want to do a NA build then go ahead and do the 4v swap.

Without swapping pistons how did you deal with the fact that with 4V heads the compression ratio plummets using OE 2V pistons?

How much boost do you run to make 750 rwhp saleengt2001?

As everyone else has said here, just build the 2v

By the time you swap to 4v your still left with internals that suck.

Just build a badass shortblock, ported pi's, cams, and a blower.

You will be able to reach your goals with a good amount of boost

sigh..

if you truely want to do it go to a junkyard and ****** a lincoln mark viii engine. its the teksid block, and the 4v heads. itll be a great starting point and can be had for under 200 bones.
