hello, i just put a stall in the 2000 and ever since then it starts out in 2nd gear unless i manually shift it. it also shifts way too soon and locks up to soon. can i change this with a tuner to make it start out in 1st again in drive position or is that a custom tune thing.
It's a custom tune thing to do it right. But starting out in 2nd IS NOT a tune thing most likely, something mechanical or electronic going on with the tranny IMHO....

well the thing is, the guy i got the convertor from said his did the exact same thing because he did not know it would need a tune. went to houston performance and they made a tune and put it on his xcal, it worked just fine after that. i was going to buy the xcal from him but it would not connect to my car so i didn't get the tune. maybe there is a chance i bumped the gear selector sensor out of adjustment but not sure.
