Just got my rebuilt c4 back for the 1965 289 mustang. Xmission is white dot, green dot then "L", transmission feels like it's in 2nd gear. From low, it will shift into second manually ok but doesn't seem to come out of it into third. Can't feel the same change from first to second when starting off in the green dot. Green dot and white dot feels the same. Rpm running around 2500 at around 50 / 55. Did they make a two speed transmission? I can't believe they did. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I just noticed my installer on this 1965 mustang did not connect or even reinstall the vacuum modulator connection or tubing. How will the transmission perform without a vacuum line.

One more question one my original request for help. I have a 4 barrel edelbrock intake with a Holley sniper efi system. Since my transmission vacuum modulator has no tubing going to it, should I tee into the Wilwood brake booster vacuum line or the pcv vacuum line. It appears my intake only has these two vacuum ports. Is one preferred over the other? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Your transmission linkage sounds like it’s not adjusted correctly. I’d take it back to the installer and have them adjust the linkage. Also, if they removed the trans, they should have dealt with the VM issue. While I don’t believe it will matter what hose you receive the vacuum from, manifold vacuum should be connected to it. I would get it from the PVC valve line just because I don’t like to take chances with the braking system. Good luck.
