The only reason I was asking is because my SCT says "Ford Vehicles" on it and if it works on any Ford vehicle, I would think (or hope at least) that I can reprogram it with Mustang specific programs.

The diesel uses a different PCM protocol than the Mustang. Besides, you're better off getting a custom chip for the Pony, (and for the diesel too). The SCT has a couple of open slots you can add custom tunes on. You might contact Tony Wildman at Total Diesel Performance for the diesel stuff. We just got my wife's 05 GT so I'm still learning the ropes on these gassers, but I've seen a few names mentioned here.
Thanks for the answers guys. The man who sold me my programmer had told me that it would work with any other diesel ford that i bought and to just bring it to him if i ever got a new one. Never thought I'd have to ask about it for a Mustang again! hehe
