i have an 87 mustang gt t top speed dencity 3.55 gears off road h pipe flowmaster... short throw shift......

and i have a 95 v8 explore can i switch the gt40 heads and gt40 upper and lower intake to my mustang and take the e7 heads and stock intake and put it in my explore and make both run but make my gt run better? and am i going to need any extra parts

and if i do this i am going to put a cam f303 and 1.6 or 1.7 rockers!?


any info??

Im sure it will work, but the Explorer would probably lose a lot of power I would imagine.

If you do that and plan on running the cam along with rockers. You will definitely need to put a set of aftermarket valve springs on the gt40's.

F-Cam and speed density? Not sure how thats gonna work.

That sure is a lot of work just to put Gt40's on. I dont think the amount of work it takes to do two head swaps, is worth it just for some GT40 heads. Thats just me.

You would need a cam that pulls the same vacuum that the Stock SD cam does. I can get 17" of vacuum with the F303 cam, but im not sure what the SD cams pull.
