make sure you, or they are connecting it to the OBD1 connector under the hood and not the OBD2 connector under the dash

Yeah Id have them doube check that too. Might be an inexperienced tech who saw the obd 2 connector and jumped on it. Unless of course when they hookd up the NGS, the fuse to power point was blown and couldnt power up the scanner... but then why wouldnt they just replace the fuse? Thats what we do. Even if its a short, we still get to the bottom of it instead of saying "Oh well, couldnt get it to work." Thats just bad business.

I had the same problem two weeks ago. I was thinking since I removed my gauge cluster and the harnesses are not connected, that might be my problem. Fortunately my car is running fine now and I'm not too concerned about pulling the codes.

LOL thats wild, I'm going through the same thing. I hooked my scanner up last night and nothing. no power to the scanner or anywhere else, no power to my coil and I checked all the fuses and they all test good. so i'm going to put an ignition switch in it tonight cause I'm thinking it might be a bad switch in a certain position. The car turns over just fine, but it wont fire

Howie, check your EVTM and the wiring for the EEC connector. Dont forget the single wire - that's very likely where the issue is at.

Good luck.
