OK, my bumper got drilled at the Ohio Valley Dragway... hit and run. So I'm stuck to get a new bumper. I want to get an 01 Cobra bumper (can't have 03 b/c of ground clearance w/ driveway). But, when my dad tried to order it today, the retards he talked to said that I needed a new hood as well (referring to the 03 Cobra, instead of 01). Also, on the instructions, it says the 01 bumper fits 99-02 GTs(here). So my dad wants a confirmation visually or a yes or no that the 2001 Cobra bumper will fit a 2004 GT. Can someone please help me??

you should have no problems with the 2001 bumper on your 2004. with the 03 cobra the reason they say u need a new hood is beacuse there will be a gap between the hood and the pieces that come up along your headlights

Not a problem.

My friend did this a conversion on his 03 GT, he put an 04 Cobra Front Bumper and used a Cobra R hood, car looks awesome, works great.

It should fit just fine without a new hood. Installing an 01 fascia that is.

I thought that a bunch of people worked out that whole issue with the 03 Cobra bumper with the stock GT hood. If so, get the 03 ... it looks awesome.

Yes someone did, but like I said, my driveway has too much of a slope and I can't get the 03 because it sits lower, while the 01 bumper is the same height as the GT's.

01 Cobra should fit your GT.

As for the gap with the 03 bumper.....I'm pretty sure it is the 03 Cobra hood that causes the gap, not the bumper.

YES it does fit, I have it on my car, a 2000 GT and there in no difference between the 00 and the 04 hood bumper system.
