I don't think so... the plug for the over flow is black... I'm not quite sure what it's for

I think so too, I think it is black and it is just very dirty or dusty.Project89 said:I believe that plugs into the radiator overflow.

All my crevices are greased.
Foglight plug probably.......also looks like a coil plug but you would have already figured that out if it was.

Depends on what he got his wiring out of....its a swap car. Plus its an lx, so it shouldnt just have them.

In my experience, stangs tend to carry all the wiring possible for all possible options for that year. I've seen empty harnesses dangling all over my 87 and 91.
the harness came out of an 88 coupe, and the plug is white.. on our cars do we have a plug that goes to the power steerin hose? the hose in my car has a spot for a connecter but on my 5.0 harness i can find what goes to it..

Take a good look at the attached thumbnails jstang209 posted (particularly the first pick) then go pull off your Rad. overflow tank. Bingo thats it ! Regarless of color (things fade, get painted etc).

I just went outside and pulled the plug off my overflow and that is it, it has those two little pin holes in it just like your'e first pic. Is your car a 4cyl swap car? Maybe that has something to do with it?

not all cars have a low coolant sensor though. i know mine doesnt...so that is probably an unused plug like some people are saying

That plug is for the GT fog lights. My car has them also 93 lx the factory put the same harrness in all the cars they cant make a certain one for every car.
Pic on the left is for fog lights. You'll find another one on the pass side.
Pic on the right is coolant overflow sensor.
If you install the GT warning light setup, you can install the coolant sensor and get it to work.
I have done that myself.
