Can You Identify This?

While searching for a misfire problem, I stumbled on a mystery in my 90 LX 5.0. If you have a V8 Fox Body, would you please look at the attached photos and see if you can tell me what I'm looking at? I've posted four pictures that gradually zoom in on the mystery part to help you locate it. The area I'm looking at is the firewall next to the passenger-side exhaust manifold. The part looks like a broken-off hose, but I can't imagine why there would be a hose down there.

Any insights you can offer would be most appreciated.

That's the drain port for your A/C evap core. That's where the condensation "water" drains from.
