can you turn the 04 gt traction lock off?

Yes, Traction Control comes with ABS and it was an option on the 04s.

I still don't see why you'd turn it off. When it's off, you could sit there spinning your tires when you should be going forward.

I think the problem, at least in my experience, is that it activates too readily and bogs the engine for too long a time...when it really would otherwise be a minor, momentary wheelspin and then go go go.

What planet are you driving your stang on. Its almost put me in 4.. count them.. FOUR accidents b/c it came on when pulling out from a light or from a stopsign.. or turning around on the highway.... that thing has caused me to almost be tboned.. rearended.. etc...

Also.. TC.. if you are running nitrous... can be a BAD thing if you forget to turn it off when you are going to run....

I'm just waiting for my chip burn so i can get that thing turned off perminantly.

I bought an 04 a week ago and i dont have a trac off button, it is an option you have to upgrade to.
