Hi all,

Any Canadian Steeda customers should know that as of yesterday (April 7) the Steeda new car program for Ford of Canada is DEAD! Transport Canada has ruled that since Steeda never submitted cars with there mods on for safety testing the mods are illegal on any new cars. The light at the end of the tunnel is that after 5000KMs OR 3 Months Transport Canada no longer considers your vehicle "new" so modify away.

Further info for those interested.

Do you know if Steeda parts for the '05 will still be readily available?

Question on Parts availability.

Steeda parts will be available for sale at authorized locations (in Ottawa its Sterling Ford). What is confusing is how they can sell them eg can they sell them to you if your car is under 3 months or 5K or do they sell them to you with the risk transfered to the end user? (In theory a joint police/Transport roadblock could inspect a car on the spot for compliance) Like most things government it is confusing as hell. In my case 3 seconds after my three months are up my car is on the lift for full engine, suspension and brake mods.

Cheers!
