I know it's really hard and it sucks, but try as hard as you can to hang in there. I ordered mine about 2 weeks before you did and I also went through a lot... My dealer was horrible - I could never get ahold of him when I wanted/needed to. About a month later, I found out (after luckily speaking to my dealership's regional manager) that my dealer was fired and nobody bothered to let me know that he had been gone almost 2 weeks. To make matters worse, all of his current orders (my mustang) were put on indefinite hold until they were transferred to other dealers. Well, this screwed over my IUP (my order was placed in time for the IUP to be added before the lawsuit, but my A$$hole dealer...) so they told me that if I still wanted to get IUP that I wouldn't get my car until mid-April. Now that that time is approaching, I wish I would have waited for it. But the color-stuff doesn't come close to impacting the car's experience. I know what you are going through. Just try as hard as you can to wait knowing that this is one kick-ass car that will keep you up at night.

Good luck!!

P.S. - Check in regularly with your dealer to make sure he is still employed...

Dude, don't believe your dealer. All he is going to do is BS you and push you around so he won't have to confront you.

Speak to the inventory control manager first....mine knew everything and actually handles everything once the dealer takes the order. Email the President of Ford Customer Service! I did and 1 week after I got a call from someone in their office and a call from the district manager as to the status of when I would be pulled. Everything depends on your dealer allocation and commodities. Priority number was not an issue at my dealership. The way they did it and Ford customer service said it is done this way when there is alot of orders from one dealership, I was 33 in line of people when I ordered. Evertime someone got pulled my Priority number moved one closer until I was at the top. It took me 3 months to get pulled. Make some calls before you cancel and get the facts. Hope you find out.........

Okay, I feel your frustration even though you ordered yours 2 months before me. First, call your dealership and speak with the Inventory Manager. Not the GM, or anyone else - Inventory Manager only. Secondly, tell him you KNOW that each dealership has a certain number of GT's alloted per month and ask WHEN your VIN# will be ready. Third, call his ass every week and ask for a status report. Lastly, you will typically receive your VIN# on a Friday, and your scheduled build date will be approximately 3 Mondays AFTER the date you received your VIN.

Good luck and keep us posted.

The number that may help you would be
800-392-3673 Customer Assistance Center.
You are very correct the priority plays a big
factor in this. Let me know I f I can be of any assistance.

Respectfully

Priority numbers mean nothing!

I had a priority #40 on the X-Plan, eight weeks to the day I ordered I was serialized and within 24hrs. I had a build date for 3 weeks later. I should see mine a few weeks.

Okay, StangCrazy - just stay calm and keep on top of the dealer about your car. Be persistent, but gentle. Unfortunately, the dealership has little or nothing to do with the timeliness of the build date (or so I've been told). Apparently, each dealer is allotted a certain number of GT's and you just have to wait in line for a build date. You should be in line for a build week approximately 3 weeks after you receive your VIN#.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't know about the situation in New Jersey but a few dealers in Florida have GTs. Brandon Ford near Tampa had several last time I checked, but they do add a window tint and wheel/tire package that is a bit overpriced. Might be worth the plane fare and the drive back home.
