Can't get fuel pump back in tank!!

I can't get teh damn fuel pump back in the tank. Whenever I get it in it doesn't sit flush with the gasket on the top of the tank. This is pissing me off, anyone offer any help??

nevermind, got it. all it took was a lunch break

Glad you got it back in the tank 91LX. They can be a real pain, but a good break can do wonders sometimes !

lol, I couldn't figure that out one time, there is a little tab on the pump, and must sit in the notch on the tank, that was your problem right?

yup, that was the problem. I got it in 5 min after lunch, I guess when I get frustrated my brain stops working.
