Anyone ever have this problem?

If I hit the Decel button while on cruise control, it will accelerate by ~1mph unless I hold the button down.

Any ideas on this one?

Mine has done that for years. I never really concidered it a problem, so I never looked into fixing it.

mine does too. The first time I pushed it speed up, I was like hmm. Then I figured out I needed to hold it down.

mine does that also. If you drive a newer ford, you will notice it dosent. This is because our cars use the old style vaccume cruise. My bronco does that same crap.

on a newer ford(i dont know the cutoff...96?) it will increase by i believe 2 mph when you tap excell, and slow down by 2mph when you hit decell. Unlike our cars

Guess its just the design!

Ram000, how do your vacuum lines look to the controller in the fender?

Wonder if its a rotted vacuum line thing.

The lines in the 94 are beautiful, the ones in the 95, well, they will be needing replacement soon.

Every pre-99 Mustang I've ever owned did exactly the same thing. Pretty annoying behavior ... once you try a 99+ you really hate going back to the old style cruise control . The 99+ is electronic and does 1 mph up/down with the accel/decel buttons.
