car bogs after a hard shift

ok when i shift really hard the car bogs, like bogs to 3k for a sec and then pulls again in the next gear .

its strange. hard to describe. just stops pulling and then pulls again.

check TPS sensor, could be a lot of **** tho...like on my car right now it really bogs sometimes, and its cause my fuel pump is dead, so i ordered a new one, and my tps is getting replaced too cause its dead, and im replacing my 02 sensors..but im no expert

it hasnt done in until recently. its been doing it alot today, and one time i was idling and it was surging for a sec or so.

tonight i hot rodded it some and it started acting gay. the car bogged when i shifted.
Car lost lots of power. wouldnt spin em in first or anything.
like when u revved it up, normally it will kind of float back down to idle and pop like kinda u know. But it just fell fast , also the engine was tapping a bit. I let the car sit for a bit and now its fine.

I am thinking something fuel related. My friends car had a fuel problem. wasnt missing just wouldnt carry itself. Mine was the same, no missing, just was doggy.

But i will check the TPS 2marow and see what comes up there.

clean your tb and iac sensor, set your tps and clean your maf

When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? Does the pump make loud noise?

fuel filter is maybe 4-5 months old. so strange noises from the pump that i can hear.

WHat computer are you running? Still the AOD comp?

Put a Fuel Pressure Guage on it and change the muffler bearing as suggested earlier...

Mine did the same thing after putting a phenolic spacer on and so I upped the pressure to 39 at idle

yeah i am still using the original AOD comp. i thought maybe i was hitting the rev limiter or something.

my friends factory 5speed acted different though when i hit hte rev limiter in it a while back. are there any rev limiter differences from the AOD and the t5 computers?

No, only real difference is the 5-spd comp pulls timing between shifts while the AOD computer does not

Clean your MAF like was said earlier - mine did the same exact thing - took 5 minutes to fix it -- electrical contact cleaner spray on the little coiled wires and let it dry before running it.

losing power

i would check your engine grounds. i had the same problem and found the ground strap on the back of the head going to the firewall loose. It was the bolt that attached to the head. my car would loose power under acceleration,deceleration, and when shifting. just something to consider.
