This is the final competition at Bremerton. There is one more race scheduled at Pacific Raceway the following Friday. Both are for double points, so sign up and give it a try.

It was at this time last year that I ran my first race for the Ford Drag Team. It was only five dollars to join and I enjoyed it so much I competed-in, and promoted, the competition this season. The coming race at Bremerton begins in the morning (unlike PR which races at night). Gates open at 8:00 AM and the first cars will probably go down the track at about 9:30. The actual competition won't begin until afternoon. Weather is supposed to be sunny and cooler than in the past few weeks.

If you need directions, you can access the Bremertion Raceway site. Tyler has the URL below. The track is about 25 miles from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Your car must be licensed and street legal. The idea is that dedicated racecars do not compete.

I'll be there, John. I think we are now tied. How's the clutch coming?

The problem was with the flywheel I was using (balanced to the engine too). The face extended an inch more toward the center than the 5.0 type for which the disk was designed. This resulted in the rivets on the center section of the clutch plate making contact with the flywheel before the clutch pads made contact. Needless to say, the rivets were disappearing quickly. I put a spare disk in after having the flywheel machined. All is well now. I am curious how the thing worked at all.
I fugured you'd be way ahead of me after last time. You've certainly been the most consistent performer. I hope we meet in the finals and settle this mano-e-mano:).

Glad to read you don't need a whole expensive new setup! May the best mano win...I'd just be happy to make the final, competition there being what it is. :D

I'll be happy if I make a couple rounds!

Kent said we're in 4th place!? I can never pull-up any point totals when I go on the PR site. Is that where you get your info?

The point totals are on Car Club's website, although always out of date:

Click on Standings, and you'll get the standings as of July 29th. We're still in fourth after the last race I believe, but I didn't keep track of everyones points. I think RC was the only one still in from the Misfits team in the later rounds, and he went out before I did, so I think we increased the gap on them.

Who has my dial in bottle? Last I saw it was second round of CCC and I had to run back to the pits. It's either Joey or GTCoupe. :nono: :D

Just bring it back the next event on Friday and it's all good. As long as it's being used.

Was your's the red one? Given your trap speed, and seeing your 60 ft. your car has enough power to run 13's. Just get some drag radials!

Well had the Viper in the second round and I blew it!!! Tree'd the guy .06x to his .15x. he dialed a 12.5x and I a 12.30. Was way out in front the whole track and I thought I let off the gas soon enough but I did not...ran a 12.21...broke out big time.
