the smoke could be the fact ur car is running so rich. they do tend to smoke a bit when running very rich, if there are no catalytic converters on the car.

Your lower intake is leaking from the front and rear seals thus causing your vacuum leak and the puddling of oil. Also make your car run rich and foul out the plugs again.

Dark Prophet, what is puddling around the distributor? Is it oil or coolant? At first you said coolant, now you're saying oil. If it's oil, then your lower intake is a vacuum leak, which can cause a number of problems.

Its both actually, i just wiped it down, and im going to see if it comes back. The coolant only appeared breifly, and the oil just suddenly appeared when i took the upper intake back off.

Well the car fouled the new plugs already (drove around block for 15 mins) so i guess im gonna rip the lower out and try again. Should i reuse the upper to lower intake gasket?

You can, depending on how much you've driven the car with it. If you haven't driven much then you can, but honestly, they're not that much, you might as well just buy a new one of those too. It's just insurance that that doesn't cause problems later.

well i was hoping to get the felpro 1250's but no one around here carries them, so im just going to get the cobra replacement gaskets MS95952's. Would it be worth it to replace the headgaskets at the same time?

Do a compression test first. There might be no need to replace the head gaskets. If you have good compression all across the board, then they should be good. It's a lot more work to replace the head gaskets than it is to replace the manifold gaskets.
