I guess ill have to push that beast up, isnt it going to be really hard to push up? ahh im gonna get started i supose
I just searched you think it could be a short? Both buttons dont work so idk. I dont really want to spend 80 bucks

yea it can also be a short. best way to find out if its the motor or not is to test it out and see if it gets power or not.mob said:alright thanks im gonna get started on that this second, cause i have to leave my car out at school and i dont want to have to be worrying about rain for 5 hours, if i check the connections and it still dosent work does that mean its the motor? or could it be something else? if you want to push it up you have to take the motor out, its only 3 bolts. with the motor out it is very easy to push up by hand and the clock spring will hold it up. while you have to motor out check to see if it works by jumping it with a drill battery and 2 wires. if it does check the resistance of the motor if it is to great it will not work.

for your window motor, its 3 bolts that you take out i think the speaker access hole at the front is where you take it out at. i think. its been a lil while

What MustangJoe said sounds right to me. Just to get the window up (as was said), just undo the window motor bolts (3 bolts - around 1/2" heads or smaller, IIRC). then you can move the motor slightly to disengage the motor gear from the regulator. THen slide the window up by hand and mesh the motor gear with the reg and bolt the motor back up. I would have a helper hold the window - My window wanted to fall IIRC and was fairly heavy (cant hurt to have someone hold it, even if the person's assistance was not needed. Windows slamming down sucks). (Note, I am speaking from experience working on a vert - not sure if the window guts are a lot different).
And good advice on troubleshooting it. Dont forget about bad switch connections or bad switch contacts.
Good luck and nice work with the battery. Had you known about the cheapo warranty swap, you could have swapped the battery about 3 pages ago.

alright thanks guys, it was easier than i thought, i just had to know what i was looking at, i managed to get the motor off and highered the window, i bolted the motor back up but im not sure if its on the gear, im pretty sure it is, i tried pushing the window down to make sure it wouldnt move, it rolls down about an inch and then wont go anymore by force so you guys think its good? im just gonna leave it like that till i can find someone to fix it for me. Thanks alot for the help guys, i appreciate it, especially since its suposed to rain tomorrow
